Low Acid Salad Dressing Although there are many salad dressings available at supermarkets, there are many benefits to making your homemade salad sauce. One advantage to making your own dressing power is to know exactly what happened in it. The second advantage is that you can tweak the recipe according to your own taste. If you want you’re dressing more or less acidic than the standard sauce, you can easily make these changes with a homemade dressing.

Low Acid Salad Dressing

  • 1 bag Mixed Salad Greens
  • 1 cup Fresh Spinach
  • 2 packages Oscar Mayer Deli Fresh Southwestern Chicken Breast Strips
  • 2 cups Tomatoes diced
  • 2 tbsp Sunkist Almond Accents Ranch Style
  • 3/4 cup Low Fat Shredded Cheese
  • 8 slices Applewood Bacon
  • 1 small Tangerine, sectioned (cut into smaller pieces if necessary)


  1. Tear into smaller pieces and toss together the Mixed Salad Greens and Spinach.
  2. Add Oscar Mayer Deli Fresh Southwestern Chicken Breast Strips
  3. Top with diced tomatoes.
  4. Sprinkle salad with almonds, cheese and bacon
  5. Place tangerine sections on top.
  6. Serve with dressing of choice on the side.

The different taste of these sauces can come from both of what you are using for your oils and acids. The oil you use can range from canola oil or essential sunflower oil to olive oil, palm oil or peanut oil.
